Erin is a traveler, photographer, and educator. While pursuing a master’s in photography and graphic design at the University of Iowa, she taught undergraduate courses in digital photography and digital imaging. She has worked as a production assistant, designer, and photographer for Telluride Style magazine, was a whitewater rafting photographer in Colorado, and traveled to Africa with the Global Volunteer Network, where she climbed Tanzania’s Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Erin has taught photography and art at Mount Mercy University and Kirkwood Community College, and taught photography for four years at Mid-Pacific School of the Arts in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Erin has led a photography workshops with National Geographic Student Expeditions to Tanzania (2010), Monterey Bay (2010), Tuscany (2011), Italy and Greece (2012), London (2013 & 2014), Iceland (2015), Alaska (2016) and Belize (2016).

In 2017 she worked and volunteered as a creative strategist in sustainable tourism with GOOD Travel, leading trips to Iceland and South Africa. Last year she was living in Thailand and traveling full time around Southeast Asia, during which time she worked as a tour manager with the Kliptown Youth Program from Soweto, South Africa, as they performed traditional Gumboot dancing throughout Hanoi, Vietnam, and Bangkok, Thailand.

In 2018 she has launched an entrepreneurial project called Intentional Photography, a platform to create personalized photography courses.

Now in the year 2020, Erin is offering a new program, Intentional Innovators, designed for students ages 15 -25. An alternative education opportunity to set students up for a career path in photography, graphic design, UX design and/or website design and marketing.
